@Laura, for me, ball is the best in the Brno finals, for Chopin Fantastic Ribbon, I think Zhenya did better in Montpellier AA final. But anyway, it was a record, Zhenya is the 1st one to get full mark under 30-points system. I just to mark this moment, and Chopin Fantastic Ribbon is Zhenya’s BEST routine ever in my mind, no matter what I am very happy for Zhenya and her team, they did great job 🙂
Wow! I just couldn’t believe it! When I noticed it i thought Oh my Gooood! That’s quite incredible!
It’s true the routine is not perfect at all, she made very little mistakes, but I’m pretty happy for Zhenya. Talking about execution ribbon is the most difficult apparatus so far! That’s why I’d never give any gymnast 10 with ribbon. I’ve watched all Zhenechka’s routines in Brno and to my mind her best there was hoop. Ball and clubs with mistakes, and ribbon and hoop almost perfect. If I were the judges and if had to give 30 to a gymnast, of course I’d write it in Zhenya’s file and in hoop, ball or clubs, but not ribbon. My point is, achieving 10 in execution with ribbon is not possible and Zhenya wasn’t perfect is execution there. So I’d have given Kanaeva 30 with hoop!
