Traditionally, on the International Children’s Day, First Channel conducts a charity event for children, named “Be the First!”. Earlier on, the event was held in Moscow, Yaroslavl, Krasnodar, Ivanovo, Penza, Samara, Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, and Astrakhan.

On 1 June 2013, the event “Be the First!” was held in Podolsk of the Moscow region, and it was accompanied by the “Starship Troopers” of First Channel, which included well-known TV personalities, popular actors, musical artists and famous athletes.

A big sporting event was taken place in the stadium of Podolsk. Master-classes were conducted featuring the stars of football, track and field, gymnastics, together with a soccer match between”Star Channel” and the children sports school in Podolsk.

As part of the event, the prize winners and winners of the All-Russian contest “Turn to Sports!” had the best opportunity to promote physical culture and sport among the children and youth organizations for 2012-2013.

The winner is the Children NGO “Rainbow Childhood” (from city Kolomna, headed by Kirsanova A.V.). The grand awards were presented by the Olympic champion of rhythmic gymnastics, Evgenia Kanaeva.
