Famous Omsk athlete Evgenia Kanaeva gave birth to a baby-boy yesterday on the 19th of March. The boy will be named Vladimir.

A two-time Olympic Champion expected the baby in the end of March but he appeared a bit earlier.

Evgenia Kanaeva and Igor Mousatov decided to name the boy Vladimir. “Igor has lost his beloved grandfather recently and the choice was made in his memory”, says Vera Shtelbaums, the personal coach of Omsk graceful athlete.

The rhythmic gymnast promised to concentrate upon her family with the birth of her child, but she won’t leave sports either in a recent interview. “The time will show in which position I will be in sports”, said the gymnast.
