On the World Cup:
"The competition was very fierce, I had my greatest rivals here, so it was an extra motivation for me to do well. The whole weekend was a wonderful experience, sweeping the golds really satisfies me".
On her over 29 scores, and whether there’s a possibility to reach 30.
"I don’t think anyone among today’s gymnasts can realistically do a 30. For me, I’m really happy if I got over 29, it’s a barrier for me, too."
Note – Irina Berek said that she thinks Kanaeva can be capable nearing the 30. She said it was a pleasure to watch her, she was much more eased than in Montreal or Moscow.
On what’s behind her success.
"Talent… It’s the first thing. But you can get nowhere with talent only, you need good surroundings to help your trainings. We get everything from the federation, so it’s easier for us, and the best coaching team works with our gymnasts"
On her further goals
"I don’t think in competitions, only in one thing: I love RG and want to continue as long, as I can. The further I can, the happier I am".
