Every kid, born in the countries of the former Soviet
Union, knows this funny word – Cheburashka. Cheburashka is a
character of a cartoon, which first appeared on television in 1969. It is an
imaginary animal on very short legs, with a very big head and huge ears as of a
monkey. At the same time his fur and his short tail reminds of a little bear.
The story tells that Cheburashka got to Russia
in a box of oranges delivered from Africa. He
just jumped into the box and fell asleep there, when he opened his eyes he
found himself in a grocery store of some unknown country. The store attendants
tried to send him to the Zoo, but no one knew which animal he was… So they
decided to give him to the Toys Shop where his adventures continued.
This
year Cheburashka is going to Vancouver
as a symbol of Russian National Olympic Team. Hopefully, he will bring luck and
joy to all the sportsmen!

廚師版Cheburashka～～
我最近迷戀上Cheburashka，這是RUS OG Team的吉祥物，但其實他是早期蘇聯的一個很有名的卡通片裡頭的角色，之後被選為RUS OG Team的吉祥物，今年的冬季奧運也是他，冬奧布偶有3種顏色-紅、藍、白，就是RUS國旗的顏色。
Alyona幫忙寫了Cheburashka的介紹，我這邊中譯一下:
Cheburashuka: 從非洲到溫哥華
每一個出生於前蘇聯國家的小孩都知道這個有趣可愛的名字: Cheburashka。Cheburashka是一個卡通裡的角色。1969年首度在電視上播出。這是想像中的動物，有著很短的腿，大大的頭跟大耳朵，看起來像一隻猴子。但他身上的毛跟短尾巴又讓人覺得像一隻可愛小熊。
卡通的故事是描述Cheburashka被裝在一個柳丁的箱子裡，然後從非洲被送到俄羅斯。他是因為跳進那箱子裡然後睡著了，當他睜開眼睛時發現自己身處在一個不知名國家的雜貨店裡。雜貨店的店員們想把他送去動物園，但沒人知道他是什麼動物。。。所以他們決定把他送到玩具店，在那裡開啟他另一個冒險之旅。
今年Cheburashka會到溫哥華，做為RUS冬季奧運國家隊的吉祥物。希望他能為所有運動員帶來好運跟歡樂。
